Proposal Location

It was a Friday March 3rd! I returned home from work and decided to take the pup for a walk. Chad was excitedly anxious and asked me when I would be going. He said he had a surprise. We went on our way to a spot which we, Chad the pups and I, love to take walks. The local forest near our place. I was towards the end of the trail and Chad called. He said "look to your right." I looked and there, from a distance, was a beautiful scene. The sun was still out but beginning its' descent. I could see colors and make out Chad's red coat. He asked me to wait a bit so I sat myself in the snow and relaxed. Energy flowed through my body as I anticipated what he had to surprise me with. I enjoyed the smell of the snow, the surrounding pine tress, and the sun coming through the forest covering, shining inconsistently on my face:)

When it was time I walked down the path we had walked together many times. As I approached I saw Chad and heard music. As I grew closer I could see the ribbons and mini windmills in the trees and my heart beamed. When I made it to my destination there were rose petals of red, pink, and white on the ground, a wooden heart box nestled in the snow and surrounded by candles, music singing to me, and Chad standing up hill from me smiling<3 I had found heaven. I removed my snowshoes and walked through the petals towards Chad and our favorite resting spot on our walks, a log that was just big enough and placed just right for two. Chad asked me to open the wooden box. There was excitement in his voice and I felt the same.I knelt down to open the box and realized the music playing was from the first movie we watched together, Frozen. The daze that had overcome me had kept me from realizing what was playing. I just knew that it was music, beautiful music. I opened the box and saw the ring. Chad knelt behind me and asked me to marry him. I will never forget the magic in the air or the moments that have followed to this day.

We are blessed and so happy!

Ring

I LOVE LOVE my unique ring💍👑✨

Chad had the ring designed. He started by picking out a setting with lots of curves. It began with two stone settings and he added a third. He then ordered the gems, an aqua marine for my birthstone, a ruby for Chad's birthstone, and a diamond. The diamond is nearly flawless and colorless, and has optimal shine. The aqua marine and ruby are diamond cut. All gems are bezel set, which is the most secure fastener. All are surrounded by white gold!

The ring was presented in a beautiful wooden heart box surrounded by candles. It was particularly beautiful sitting in the snow covered with rose petals of red, pink, and cream.

We are in the process of designing our Wedding bands to match the engagement ring and can't wait! It's been so fun being creative with the jeweler and I think he is having just as much enjoyment in carving our vision. The bands will match my engagement ring, and include the same flowing style✨
